About This Notebook

Hi, I'm Andy Hawthorne, a comedy writer based in Coventry, England.

Welcome to my digital notebook - a place where thoughts flow like they do in real life: chaotically, unexpectedly, and often without warning.

I write in what I call "the stream" - that natural flow of consciousness that takes you from profound observations about life to sudden panic about running out of custard cream biscuits. It's the same style that writers like Spike Milligan mastered, where the mundane and the meaningful dance together on the same page.

You'll find thoughts about everything and nothing. Dreams that make no sense until they suddenly do. The weight of serious things sitting alongside the genuine crisis of discovering the tea's gone cold. That's just how minds work, isn't it?

This notebook isn't trying to be anything more than what it is - a place for authentic thoughts, however scattered they might be. Sometimes there might be a little cartoon to go with them, because why not?

If you're here, you probably understand that the most interesting writing happens when we stop trying to be interesting and just let the thoughts come as they are.
